U-23 international, Taiwo Awoniyi, has bemoaned his inability to add to his debut goal for his German Bundesliga 2 side FSV Frankfurt in their 3-0 loss at home to Nürnberg on Sunday.
Awoniyi who ended his six game goal drought a fortnight ago in FSV Frankfurt's 2-2 draw away at Heidenheim was denied his second league goal by the crossbar, posted a picture of his missed chance in the encounter on instagram .
While admitting the result wasn't good enough Awoniyi promised to keep working harder to help the team get out of their lowly position on the log.
"After working hard from the first pix then to the second and finding the ball hitting the crossbar, that’s how your reactions goes below.
"We keep on trying. Not a good result though, but God is involved," Awoniyi wrote on the photo sharing portal.
Awoniyi who starred in the Nigeria's U-23 Olympic team's 1-0 win against Brazil in last month's international friendly, has played seven times for FSV Frankfurt who are 14th on the Bundesliga 2 log.
