Ex-international, Tijani Babangida believes Sunday Oliseh is the right man to lead the Super Eagles despite the side's failure to go beyond the group stage at the 2016 African Nations Championship, reports Completesportsnigeria.
On Wednesday, reports emerged that French tacticians, Claude Le Roy and Herve Renard have expressed interests in the Super Eagles job.
However, Babangida has insisted his former teammate is good enough to lead the Super
"Sunday Oliseh, in my opinion, is the right man to lead the Super Eagles at the moment, " the former Ajax Amsterdam of Holland winger told Completesportsnigeria.com
"I know a lot of people are disappointed with the performance of the team in Rwanda, but we have to look at the future and not the present alone.
"There are a lot of potentials in this team and soon people will see a new Super Eagles.
"Like the coach has already said, we have a number of quality players from the CHAN team that are ready to play for the main Super Eagles.
"It's an indication that we are progressing and things can only get better in future."
