Raja Casablanca winter acquisition,Michael Babatunde is delighted to be the hero for his side on his debut after he rescued a point in their 1-1 draw with FUS Rabat on Friday night in the league.
Babatunde skipped past his marker before blasting a left-footed shot past the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the encounter after Yusupha Njie gave the table-toppers the lead at the restart of the second half.
An excited Babatunde revealed that he could have bagged a brace on his debut but was satisfied with his performance on the night.
"Though I got plaudiits from my coach I think I shouldhave scored more but for the brilliance of the goalkeeper," the 2014 World Cup star began in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com
"Match-fitness wise I'm becoming sharper. I'm getting close to my best and I hope I can offer more in the next game," the Nigerian international said.
He is expected to feature next weekend against KawKab Marrakech but it remains to be seen if his compatriot Osaguona Ighodaro who is still recovering from injury will be fit enough for the trip away.
He was ruled out for 15 days prior to the fixture.
