Akwa United's coach Zachary Baraje is thrilled to see his side secure their first major silverware following Sunday's Federation Cup win against Lobi Stars.
The 2-1 win at the impressive Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos ensure the Promise Keepers lift the title in their first time in the final.
Baraje, whose side defeated Lobi Stras in their final league game of the season last weekend at the Godswill Akpabio International, Uyo admitted that win gave them a psychological edge over the Pride of Benue.
"Our league game against Lobi Stars last weekend was a real eye opener for me," Baraje, a former Enyimba coach disclosed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It gave me the opportunity to plan on how to win the game and everything we planned worked out at the end of the day.
"Already we have a psychological edge over them with that win in Uyo and we proved our superiority over them once again.
"I want to congratulate my players for this wonderful feat. It has been a tough season, but it ended on a good note for us," Baraje celebrated.
