Enyimba midfielder Ezekiel Bassey is delighted to see his side finish their campaign in the CAF Champions League on a positive note following Tuesday's 3-1 win against South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns and hopes the lessons learnt will help the side in future, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Peoples Elephant who have already been eliminated from the competition bowed out with pride as a brace by Mfon Udoh and a solitary strike by Uche John guided them to the win.
It was their first win of the campaign after defeats in three previous games in the group stages.
"Though we are already out of the competition, it was important to beat them (Mamelodi Sundowns) and leave the competition with some sense of pride," Bassey told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Things would have been different for us if we have done well in our previous matches but that is in the past now.
"This has no doubt been a big learning process for us and we hope avoid same mistakes in future."Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
