Bassey: Enyimba Will Bounce Back From Poor Results

By Adeboye Amosu:

Enyimba winger, Ezekiel Bassey, has backed the club to recover from their disappointing start to the new season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Nigerian League champions struggled to make an impact in the recent Super 4 competitions and lost 1-0 to Vipers Sports Club of Uganda in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round fixture last Friday.
The Peoples Elephant also lost 4-3 on penalties to Akwa United in the season-opening Charity Cup on Wednesday.
And ahead of this weekend’s Nigeria Professional Football League week one fixture against Rivers United Football Club in Port Harcourt, the former Akwa United winger is confident his side will overcome their recent run of poor results.
“It’s disappointing the way things have turned out for us so far, but I’m confident we can still turn it around,” he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We will have to make a big statement starting with this weekend’s game against Dolphins.
“It’s going to be a tough task retaining the title, but we can do it again.”
