George has been drawn in lane 9 of the fourth heat where she will hope to be among the three three automatic qualifiers or among the six fastest losers for Tuesday’s semifinals.
Also drawn in lane 9 in heat two in her debut appearance in the championships is home girl Tosin Adeloye. She will however have to fight 2007 world champion, Christine Ohuruogu, of Britain and USA’s Natasha Hastings for one of the three automatic slots for the semis or wait to see if she could scale through as one of the six fastest losers.
The third Nigerian that will be on parade, Patience Okon George, will however not be running from lane 9. Instead she has been drawn in lane 3 of the fifth heat.
