Turkish giants Besiktas are eyeing a January move for Super Eagles and Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi.
According to teamtalk.com, the club’s president Fikret Oman stated they could make a move to sign Mikel in January.
Mikel has seen his playing time at Chelsea significantly decrease over the last couple of seasons and was seemingly heading for the door in the summer.
A transfer to the Turkish giants fell through but with Mikel having made only one start this campaign, it could be back on the cards in the next window.
“If [manager] Senol Gunes had given the go ahead we were going to sign [Mikel] and we could enter the race again over the winter break,” Oman said.

The 28-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge in 2006 and has made 342 appearances for the Blues.
