Bilic: No €11m West Ham Clause For Emenike

By Adeboye Amosu:

Former Nigeria international, Emmanuel Emenike will have to wait till the end of the season to know if he will be offered a permanent deal by English Premier League side, West Ham United, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The forward joined the Hammers on loan from Turkish club Fenerbache during the January transfer window.

It was reported that he has a clause in his contract  which stipulates that he must make 11 premier league appearances before he could be signed for around €11m.

West Ham coach, Slaven Bilic, has however rubbished the claim, stating that Emenike's future will be assessed at the end of the campaign.

"It is absurd and we would never have agreed to such a clause and the club have no obligation to sign him," Bilic said in a press conference at the end of Mark Noble's testimonial at the Boleyn Ground.

"Everything will become clear at the end of the season.

"We will hold talks with Fenerbahce and Emenike at the end of the season but it is too early to say if he will stay or not. It also depends on the money being asked." Emenike has scored twice in the FA Cup for the London-based side but is yet to open his account in the league.
