Dolphins Seek Return To Winning Ways After Three Successive Defeats
DOLPHINS VS WOLVES
DATE: Wednesday July 4, 2012 TIME: 4pm.
VENUE: Liberations Stadium, Prot Harcourt
Title holders,Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt are not giving up successfully defending the title, despite trailing current leaders Rangers by four points.
The Stanley Eguma tutored side host their south south rivals Warri Wolves next Wednesday at the Liberation Stadium in what could be termed as a win or bust tie.
With their shocking exit from the Federation Cup, the league represents their only hope of winning a silverware and they will have to do it the hard way with some difficult ties still ahead.
They travel to Owerri and Kano to face Heartland and kano Pillars respectively after this game but despite the enormity of the task before him, defence stalwart, Austine Festus is refusing to rule out the possibility of his side clinching the title at the end of the season.
“It’s interesting when you look at the fixtures ahead of us, but we are prepared to do it the hard way just like we did last season. At the moment we are only thinking about the game against Warri Wolves on Wednesday. We will take the game as they come and we are not afraid of any opponent in the league,” he boasted.
For Maurice Cooreman led Warri Wolves, securing a berth in the continent should be the target for now and avoiding defeat in this game should help boost their aspiration.
The reverse tie at the Warri City stadium ended in a one all draw.
