Flying Eagles Beat Kaduna United 1-0

Nigeria U20s, the Flying Eagles, defeated NPL side Kaduna United 1-0 to round up their local build-up for a 2013 African Youth Championship qualifier against Tanzania.

It was another competitive test for the Flying Eagles on a very terrible BakoKontagora Stadium pitch in Minna.
Substitute striker SikiruAlimi scored the match winner on 87 minutes. Alimi made up for fluffing a sitter on 70 minutes.

Kaduna United also had their chances. Striker Yau saw his 84th minute shot from outside the box tipped for a corner by skipper and goalkeeper Samuel Okani.

And also a minute to full time, Okani again made a fine save to deny the NPL side.

Last Sunday, the Flying Eagles were held to a 0-0 draw by another NPL side ABS FC in Ilorin.

The U20s fly out to Rwanda for another warm-up game on Monday before they take on Tanzania on Sunday, July 29.
