CHUKWU: DON’T USE NIGER RESULT TO JUDGE EAGLES

Nigeria Football Federation’s board member, Christian Chukwu, says friendly game against Niger on Wednesday should not be used to judge the team ahead of the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia.

The Super Eagles under the control of coach Stephen Keshi were held to a goalless draw in the encounter played in Niameny on Wednesday.

“Well, I don’t think we should use this result to judge this team because it is a friendly game which will help the coaches to know the area they need to improve upon in the team,” says the former Super Eagles boss.

“Keshi knew he said only the home based players should play the match so that he will be able to see the fitness level of the home based players who will be part of the main team that will play next month’s game against Liberia.

“So, we should just be patient with the team and see the level the coach will take it to the nearest future. They have done well recently and I am sure they will continue to improve.”

Chukwu who also spoke ahead of the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Lone Star of Liberia next month, said he was sure that the Nigeria players will do better in the encounter.

Why should we not use the result to judge? What was the purpose for the friendly match?....Just to play or Pass time? I have told you guys since the year began that Keshi is FAILING.
How can you guys accept that after ONE YEAR of RE-BUILDING, Keshi can not field a team that can win matches outright...only 0:0, 1:0 or 1:1. THAT is a TRULY weak and inefficient selection.CHANGE Keshi now before IT IS TOOooo LATE.
I wish President Johnathan can help out now he is determined to FLUSH the Sports Ministry & that ye ye Minister.

That Sports Minister ought to have allowed the recruitment of Mr. Tom Saintfiet...and we would have had a more objective team play analysis. In Nigeria we often erroneously believe we can ANALYSE FAILURES, just because we got one coaching certificate or degree. There are persons with better experience and training for such purposes...ye ye Minister.

Please! Chukwu should shut his mouth! He has been talking nonsense since 2004 and still continues to do so.

Why should we not judge Keshi by the Niger game? Keshi has prosecuted 10+ matches with his so called Eagles (a bunch of no-name losers) and they have sucked! It is pretty obvious he has nothing to offer and is masking his incompetence by playing 4th rate teams and trying to make Nigerians believe that the team is progressing. This is as much of a con-game as I have seen in recent times. The sad thing is that Nigerians have been dumbed down to the extent that they have accepted this mediocrity!

Nigerian football is in its worst state ever and it will get worse, unless and until they get rid of this con-artist of a man called Keshi.
