Apam: Eagles Good To Lift 2013 AFCON Trophy

Stade Rennes defender, Apam Onyekachi believes the Super Eagles have what it takes to emerge winners at next year's African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The  two-time African Champions will play in Group C alongside defending Champions Zambia, Ethiopia and fellow West Africans, Burkina Faso.
Apam a member of the Super Eagles team that won bronze medal at the 2010 edition in Angola is upbeat on the chances of the Stephen keshi tutored side securing a third AFCON title.

''It's been long since we won the African Cup of Nations and I believe we have what it takes to rule the continent once again,''begins the former youth international. ''We missed out on the last tournament but it is good that we will be in South Africa next January to compete with the best teams in the continent. With the quality of players we have in the team we should be able to win the competition even though it is going to be  tough out there. What is important is for us to start well and everything will fall into place,''he  declared.

Apam is yet to feature for the team under erstwhile Mali and Togo coach, Stephen Keshi,  he has struggled with injuries picked up prior to the FIFA 2010 World Cup in  South Africa, but he feels he is back to his best and ready to serve his fatherland.
''I feel so great after having to fight injuries in recent months and it will be wonderful to be part of the national team once again,''.
