EAGLES NOT SCARED OF ANY TEAM!

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has restated his confidence going into tomorrow’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations draw in Durban, South Africa.

Despite the Eagles not seeded for this tournament and likely to draw star-studded Cote d'Ivoire or Ghana, Keshi said he is confident of a good outing no matter who they face in the first round of the championship in January.

“I have said to a lot of people and will say it again that I am not afraid of any team in the championship,” said Keshi, who is in South Africa for the draw.

“You don’t win a championship by being afraid of your opponents and that is the spirit with which I am going to the draw.

“Let them bring on any team and we will give our all, we have a team that the world too should be afraid of.”
On his part, NFF technical committee head, Chris Green, said he was sure that Nigeria will get a favourable draw on Wednesday.

“We have a strong team but we also know that we want a good draw so that as we will cruise in the championship we can stabilize and get out bearing right,” he said.

Meanwhile, organisers of the AFCON draw have announced a programme of events for all officials who will be attending the draw ceremony.

Eagles team secretary Enebi Achor said he would be attending a seminar for teams’ officials on Tuesday, draw proper will hold as scheduled on Wednesday, while officials will tour the venues on Thursday. Friday will mark the departure of officials from South Africa.
