Kennedy Boboye has confirmed his resignation as head coach of Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The coach left the Owena Waves following their inability to secure a continental ticket at the end of the just concluded Glo Premier League season.
The Akure-based outfit topped the table at mid-season but stumbled in the second half of the campaign before eventually finishing sixth on the log.
“I have left my post as head coach of Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure,” the former Sharks coach informed Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I wish the club well in future and want to thank the management and the players for their support.
“It was fun working with the club, but I think it’s the best time for me to move forward.”
Boboye’s last game in charge of the club was last Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Enyimba in Lagos.
