Spain-based trio Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo have been named as the finalists for the 2015 FIFA Ballon d'Or for the best player in the world.
The winner will be announced in January at a gala.
Barcelona star Messi is in contention to win his fifth Ballon d'Or after a year in which he fired Barcelona to the treble of Champions League, La Liga and Copa Del Rey.
La Liga top scorer Neymar is making the final shortlist for the first time, while Ronaldo has won the award thrice.
The vote for the award will be made by the captains and head coaches of each men's national team as well as by international media representatives selected by French publication France Football.
The winner will be announced on 11 January 2016 at the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala.
Meanwhile, the finalists for the women's Ballon d'Or are Carli Lloyd (USA), Aya Niyama (Japan) and Celia Sasic (Germany).
While the Puskas Award, for the best goal of the year, will be between Allesandro Florenzi (Roma vs. Barcelona), Messi (Barcelona vs. Atletico Bilbao) and Wendell Lira (Goianesia vs. Atletico-GO).
The final three for the men's coach of the year Pep Guardiola (Bayern Munich), Luis Enrique (Barcelona) and Jorge Sampaoli (Chile). And for the women's coach of the year, Jill Ellis (U.S.), Mark Sampson (England) and Norio Sasaki (Japan).
