BREAKING! Oliseh Resigns As Super Eagles Coach

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has resigned with immediate effect, Completesportsnigeria.com has been informed.
Oliseh tendered his resignation on Thursday after receiving the backlog of salaries owed him by the Nigeria Football Federation, a source in the governing body told Completesportsnigeria.com.
The former Nigeria captain and his employers have been at loggerheads for weeks following the home-based Super Eagles’ early ouster from the African Nations Championship in January.
Oliseh did not take kindly to the criticism that trailed the CHAN outing and shot back via a YouTube video in which he exposed the NFF’s shoddy treatment of himself and his players, who were owed camp allowances and win bonuses and were left unmotivated throughout the tournament.
The former Juventus midfielder leaves the Eagles in the middle of key Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with back-to-back games against Egypt coming up in a month’s time.
Oliseh was appointed in July 2015 as successor to Stephen Keshi. Oliseh was in charge of 14 official matches, losing one friendly against DR Congo in Belgium and a CHAN group match against Guinea that led to ealy elimination in Rwanda.

  1. Oliseh is a man I respected so much but am disappointed with the way he resigned from his post.he is afraid of challenges. I believe he just came to answer “former super eagles coach”. Keshi is better than him..

  2. A MAN IS ONE WHO KNOWS WHEN TO QUIT AND DOES THE NEEDFULL.HE SAW THE HANDWRITTING ON THE WALL,KNOWING THAT THERE WERE SOME CABALS THAT ARE SETTING HIM UP TO TARNISH HIS IMPRESSIVE RECORD,HE HAD TO RESPOND APPROPRIATELY.THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OLISEH AND KESHI, IN FACT I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT KESHI HAD TO WAIT FOF NFF TO DISGRACE HIM OUT OF OFFICE INSPITE HIS GOOD RECORD.LET US FACE THE TRUTH,OLISEH IS A GOOD LEADER,WHO PLACED THE INTEREST OF HIS  BACKROOM STAFF ABOVE PERSONAL GAIN.IF ANYBODY LIKES,LET HIM GO ON CELEBRATING,THE FINAL LOSER WOULD SOON BE KNOWN,.THE PRESS THAT WILL NOT GIVE ACCURATE AND TRUTHFUL ANALYSIS OF THE ISSUES ON GROUND ONLY TO ATTACK EVERY NIGERIAN COACH AS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, IRRESPECTIVE OF THE ENVIRONMENT UNDER WHICH HE OPERATES,THE SOCCER ADMINISTRATION THAT REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR FAIR SHARE OF CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROBLEMS OF OUR SENIOR SOCCER TEAM,THE PROUD PLAYERS THAT WANT THE 170 MILLION NIGERIANS TO WORSHIP THEM FOR GIVING A HALF-HEARTED SERVICE TO THEIR FATHER LAND,STOUTLY SUPPORTED BY MYOPIC AND" BROWN-ENVELOPED"SPORT JORNALISTS,THE NIGERIANS WHO AT EVERY SLIGHT SLOPPY DISPLAY BY THE TEAM START TO SHOUT FOR A MIRACLE-WORKING COACH,ALL WILL SEE WHAT OUR "FISH EAT FISH, AND A FOWL POUR AWAY MY MEDICINE, I IN TURN WILL SMASH ITS EGGS SYNDROME"WILL LEAD US TO IN 2016 FOOTBALL SEASON.MANY HAVE FAILED TO REALISE THAT THERE IS A SPIRIT THAT CONTROLS THE GAME OF FOOTBALL,WHEN THE PLAYERS AND THE COACHES ARE GRIEVED IN THEIR SPIRIT IT MUST SURELY TELL ON THE OUTPUT.YOU MUST APPEASE KESHI AND OLISEH*S SPIRIT OTHERWISE……………/

I am not at all surprised at the turn of event. Oliseh is a no nonsense person who also is full of himself. NFF should hide their faces in shame. From Onigbinde to now Oliseh the story is same. NFF CHANGE!

  5. This is the only sensible decision he's made in this his short miserable experiment with coaching a football team

It is unfortunate to hear that Sunday Oliseh resigned, infact the content of our football house should all resign for they’re not doing well. They can not find satisfaction in any of indigenious coach, they need forein coaches where no body will know how much they ‘re bein paid, yet there will be no result. We need real change and not half.
