Nigerian star Bright Dike has rejoined Toronto FC after his two months loan spell at NASL’s San Antonio Scorpions.
Dike, who has only played 20 minutes all season for Toronto FC, with one assist in that time hasn’t had the best of times since going down with an Achilles tear that kept him out of the Toronto line-up for most of the 2014 season and the World Cup in Brazil.
Completesportsnigeria.com reports that the 28-year-old Super Eagles star is Toronto’s fourth choice striker and he is expected to battle Robbie Findley and Luke Moore for the vacant striker spot.
It is a fight that Dike had been losing for most of the season, falling out of favour with manager Greg Vanney.
With USA forward Jozy Altidore also in the line-up, the Nigerian was Toronto’s fourth striker option.
