Burkina Faso Coach: Why We Lost To Super Eagles

By Adeboye Amosu In Ougadougou

Burkina Faso coach Idrissa Traore has attributed his team's failure to beat Nigeria in their 2016 African Nations Championship qualifier on Sunday to their failure to convert the goalscoring chances that came their way.

Burkina Faso had lost the first leg against Nigeria by 2-0 but what would be a bad day started with a missed a penalty in the first half through USFA midfielder, Mohammed Sylla.

"We outplayed the Super Eagles but we are not going to the CHAN in January because we could not convert our
chances," Traore lamented when speaking with Completesportsnigeria.com.

"I want to congratulate Nigeria on their
success and wish them well in Rwanda next year.

Bature Yaro and Gbolahan Salami scored Nigeria's goals in the first leg clash at the Adokie Amiesemaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
