Nigeria Premier League side, Warri Wolves have qualified for the First Round of the CAF Champions League following the withdrawal of Sporting Paraia Cruz of Sao Tome and Principe,
A top official of Warri Wolves informed Completesportsnigeria.com accordingly following a a message from Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) about the failure of Praia Cruz to honour today's (Sunday) Champions League fixture which was scheduled to take place at the Warri City Stadium.
The Seasiders have therefore progressed to the next round of the competition.
"Warri Wolves have qualified for the First Round of the CAF Champions League after the withdrawal of Praia Cruz," the official informed.
The coach Sam Okpodu led team will host Sudanese champions Al Merrich SC in March for a place in the second round. The winners of the second round ties qualify for the group stage, while the losers drop to the Confederation Cup.
