It will be a decisive weekend for Nigerian clubsides campaiging on the continent as they bid to move to the first round in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Enyimba, must overcome a first leg 1-0 deficit against Vipers Sports Club of Uganda to continue their hunt for a third continental title.
The People Elephant have struggled to impress this season and their 1-0 defeat against Rivers United on the opening day of the Nigeria Professional League is further testament to their recent struggles.
"We lost the first leg in Kampala because we failed to convert the numerous chances that came our way," midfielder Dare Ojo who joined the Aba-based side from Kwara United told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"For us, it will be a disaster to exit the competition in the first round.
"Results have not gone our way recently, but we will surely turn things around starting with the game against Vipers Sports Club."
Vipers who are playing in the competition for the first time will be without four key players in the game billed for the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Nasarawa United will look to hold on to their slender first leg lead when they confront Generation Foot on Sunday.

Generation Foot, a lower division side that shocked pundits by winning the Senegal FA Cup last season, proved they were no pushovers in the first leg and to get past the hurdle, Nasarawa United must be at their best.
"I know most people are disappointed with our performance in the first leg and in the league against MFM last weekend, but we believe we still have a decent chance of qualifying," the Lafia-based side's centre back, Samson Gbadebo, told Completesportsnigeria.com from Dakar.
Nigeria's other representatives in the competition, Akwa United, will hope to do a double over Congolese side, Vita Club Mokanda.
