CAF CL: Enyimba Face Elimination After Defeat To Sundowns

By Adeboye Amosu: Nigerian champions Enyimba are on the brink after going down to a 2-1 defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in their CAF Champions League Group B fixture on a frrezing Wednesday night in Pretoria, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

It is the second defeat in a row in the group for the Peoples Elephants who lost 1-0 to Egyptian champions Zamalek on matchday one.
Sundowns went ahead three minutes before the break through Leonardo Castro following a goal mouth scramble.

Enyimba however rallied back in the second half restoring parity in the 59th minute through a wonderful effort from Dare Ojo.

The hosts regained the lead 13 minutes from time with Wayne Arendse scrambling the ball home despite goalkeeper Moses Ocheje's best efforts to keep the ball out.

Enyimba are now without a point in the group and now face a daunting task in their bid to qualify for the last four.
