U-23 Eagles coach, Samson Siasia is anticipating a tough match between his side and hosts Senegal in the last four of the CAF U-23 Nations Cup, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Siasia's men finished second in Group B behind Algeria after both side's ended their game in a 0-0 draw Saturday evening.
The hosts have been in fantastic form in the competition winning all their three games and play with confidence and finesse.
And Siasia admitted he would have loved to come up against them in the final, but has no problem facing them in the last four.
"I congratulate my team for not conceding and qualifying for the semi- finals. The most important thing was to qualify and we have achieved it," Siasia told reporters after the game.
"We wish we could garner the three points but I'm happy with qualifying and getting closer to Rio de Janeiro.
"I would have preferred to play Senegal in the final but I have to do that at the semis.
"It will be a great match because they will have the public behind them and we have to play and win.
"At the Africa Cup of Nations in I992, I scored here (Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium) and this is why most Senegalese remember me. I will be around my players to repeat it next Wednesday."
