FC Ifeanyiubah will depart Nigeria on Thursday for Port Said ahead of their Sunday's CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, second leg fixture against Egyptian club, Al-Masry SC, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Players and officials of the Anambra Warriors will arrive in Lagos from Nnewi on Wednesday evening and are expected to connect a flight to Port Said, Egypt on Thursday from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
"We are travelling to Egypt on Thursday for the second leg game against Al Masry," team manager of the club, Jonathan Igwe disclosed to Completesportsnigeria.com Wednesday afternoon.
"We will be in Lagos on Wednesday and then travel for the game on Thursday morning."
The Nnewi-based side hold a slim 1-0 advantage going into the clash but Igwe is confident his team will scale through the hurdle.
"It's a pity we couldn't score more than one goal in Nnewi last weekend, but that won't stop us from making it to the next round," he stated.
"They will have the advantage of playing in front of their fans, but that won't stop us from getting a good result."
