Cameroon, Congo Friendlies: Belgian Embassy Delays Home-Based Eagles’ Visas

The home-based Eagles will not be travelling to Belgium on Sunday as scheduled and could miss the international friendly games against Cameroon and DR  Congo due to visa hitches.

A top source within the Nigeria Football Federation disclosed this to

‎The top official from the NFF revealed that the Belgian Embassy did not issue Schengen visas to the players and officials as promised on Friday thereby ruining their trip to Brussels on Sunday.

"Unfortunately the Belgian Embassy did not issue the Schengen visas on Friday as promised; they claim no approval yet from their home office," the source told on Saturday morning.

"The trip of the home-based players and some officials will however not be possible on Sunday anymore." 

The home-based players were expected to join their foreign-based counterparts in Belgium for the games against Cameroon and DR Congo billed for 8 and 11 October.

The invited players affected are Chima Akas, Prince Agrrey, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Femi Thomas, Austin Oboroakpo and Paul Onobi. the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria
