Kelechi Iheanacho has praised his Manchester City teammates for their relentless efforts that helped the team qualify for the final of the Emirates Capital One Cup, beating Everton 3-1 in the second leg to advance 4-3 on aggregate at the Etihad Stadium, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Iheanacho who has scored thrice in the competition this season watched from the bench over two-legs as Manuel Pellegrini's side clawed back to upturn a first leg defeat at Goodison Park a fortnight ago, also praised the fans for their support.
The 19 year old who is already dreaming of pulling on a Manchester City shirt at Wembley in February tweeted: "The team really worked hard today, and the fans were amazing,Wembley here we come."
Manchester City face Liverpool in the finals and if they win, Iheanacho will become the third Nigerian player after John Mikel Obi and Obafemi Martins to win the Cup.
