Champions Enyimba Deny Sunshine Africa Ticket, Sharks Relegated

Newly crowned Glo Premier League champions, Enyimba, denied Sunshine Stars a continental ticket, holding the Owena Waves to a 0-0 draw at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.
The Peoples Elephant who secured their seventh Glo Premier League title after a goalless draw against Warri Wolves last weekend and were presented with their trophy on Sunday, put up a lively display in the encounter, although they had to rely on their goalkeeper Femi Thomas to keep the hosts at bay on a couple of occasions.
The hosts failed to convert a host of goalscoring chances that came their way in the first half, while last season’s top scorer, Mfon Udoh, also came close to getting a goal late in the first half.
Nasarawa secured third position and a berth in the CAF Confederation Cup courtesy of a 2-0 win against Giwa FC in Lafia.
Giwa FC players failed to show up for the second half after they had two men sent off in the first half.
In Umuahia, Sharks failed to maintain their top flight status after they went down 1-0 against Abia Warriors.

At the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan Dolphins secured a hard fought 2-2 draw against Shooting Stars to beat the drop.
Tope Orelope put the hosts ahead in the 21st minute, while Dolphins rallied back through a brace from Ifeanyi Egwim.
Cletus Itodo however salvaged a point for 3SC by grabbing the equaliser in added time.

The game between Warri Wolves and FC Taraba was postponed till Monday following a heavy downpour which left the Warri City Stadium pitch waterlogged.
