DR Congo President Rewards CHAN Winners With Jeeps-Democratic Republic of Congo President Joseph Kabila presented the country's African Nations Championship winners with a fleet of high-end Sports Utility Vehicles on Tuesday, AFP reports.
Kabila symbolically handed over keys to the top of the range cars to DR Congo captain Joel Kimwaki and coach Florent Ibenge at a ceremony in Kinshasa.
DR Congo defeated Mali 3-0 in Sunday's final in Kigali, Rwanda.
DR Congo Are Two-Time CHAN Champions, Thrash Mali 3-0 In The Final-Democratic Republic emerged champions of the African Nations Championship after thrashing Mali 3-0 in Sunday's final.
The game which was played inside the Amahoro stadium, saw DRC take the lead in the 29th minute through Elia Meschak.
In the 62nd minute, Meschak grabbed his second goal to make it 2-0 for DRC.
And in the 73rd minute, Jonathan Bolingi secured the win for DRC when he netted the third goal.
