Home-based Super Eagles duo; Tunde Adeniji and Chisom Chikatara have assured they will be fit for the African Nations Championship, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The two forwards are currently nursing injuries which has raised concern about their readiness to feature in the biennial competition.
Sunshine Stars hitman, Adeniji is suffering from muscular problem, while Chikatara is battling hamstring injury.
"My substitution in the friendly against University of Pretoria was a precautionary measure," the former Rising Stars player informed Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It's important that I also skip training for some days, to recover fully from the injury.
"All things being equal, I should be fit for the opening game against Niger."
His team mates, Chikatara also assured on his fitness ahead of the competition.
"My injury is a minor one and I should be back in training tomorrow (Thursday)."
