By Adeboye Amosu In Ouagadougou:
Chisom Chikatara says he is not keen on scoring against Burkina Faso in Sunday’s African Nations Champioship qualifier against Burkina Faso, instead he is focused on helping the team qualify for the tournament.
The Abia Warriors forward was widely criticised for missing a number of clear-cut opportunities in the first leg a week ago in Port Harcourt.
He however told Completesportsnigeria.com ahead of the return leg here in Ouagadougou on Sunday that he is not looking for individual glory, but team success.
“My main target is to help the team win and qualify for the CHAN, not chase personally glory,” Chikatara told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“Ideally, my job as a striker is to score goals, but I will not put that ahead of the success of the team.
“We are eargely looking forward to the game, hopefully we will make it to Rwanda at the end of the day.”
