CHAN: Enyimba’s Burkinabe Star Backs Country To Stop Home Eagles

By Adeboye Amosu:

Burkina Faso winger, Ahmed Kone, is confident the country's home-based side can still qualify for the African Nations Championship despite losing 2-0 to Nigeria in the first leg of the qualifier on Saturday reports, Completesportsnigeria.com.

Kone who plays for Glo Premier League side, Enyimba Football Club of Aba, insists the Stallions  can overturn the deficit when both sides clash in the return leg in Ouagadougou this weekend.

"I don't think the battle is over as I believe they will fight hard to qualify for the competition," Kone told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"The team is strong and they will give their all in front of the fans."

The Eagles will depart for Ouagadougou on Thursday for the game.

Eighteen players out of the 23 in camp are expected to make the trip.
