CHAN: Home Eagles Depart Thursday For Burkina Tie

By Adeboye Amosu:
The home-based Super Eagles side will depart for Burkina Faso on Thursday for the second leg of the African Nations Championship qualifier against Burkina Faso, reports scooped from a reliable source in the team’s camp in Port Harcourt that the players will also not likely be released to their clubs for Wednesday’s Glo Premier League 34 matches.
“The team will leave for Burkina Faso on Thursday for the return leg game against Burkina Faso,” the source told
“At the moment, all the players are still in Port Harcourt and there is no chance they will be released to their clubs for the mid-week games.
“Since the team will be travelling on Thursday, it will be difficult to allow the players to play for their clubs on Wednesday.”
Five of the 23 players in camp are expected to be dropped from the squad that will travel to Ouagadougou for the game.
