Home-based Super Eagles stars are delighted with the lush green turf of the August 4 Stadium, here in Ouagadougou which according to them is good for quality football, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Eagles had their first feel of the turf on Saturday, their only session before the game against Burkina Faso on Sunday.
The players in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com after the training session said they are happy the pitch won’t hinder their play against the Stallions.
The training which lasted over an hour was supervised by assistant coach of the side, Jean Francois Loscuito.
“I must confess the pitch here in Ouagadougou is fantastic,” Sunshine Stars winger, Prince Aggreh, told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“You don’t have a choice than to play quality football on a super turf like this.”
Warri Wolves centre forward, Gbolahan Salami! also described the playing surface as super.
“That pitch is a good one. It’s certainly good for football,” he added.
