Chelsea have celebrated with their Nigerian duo of John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses, following Super Eagles 1-0 win against Tanzania in Saturday's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Manchester City youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored the only goal of the game, netting a superb strike with 12 minutes left.
The win lifted the Eagles to second position, on five points behind group G winners Egypt.
A statement released on Chelsea's official website reads: "The Super Eagles knew they could not qualify for January’s Africa Cup of Nations after a disappointing campaign, but they did at least finish with victory against the east Africans courtesy of a brilliant Kelechi Iheanacho strike 12 minutes from time.
"Mikel, the captain, was withdrawn shortly before then having been heavily involved in their bronze-medal-winning Olympic run last month.
"Moses played 81 minutes having put a couple of good chances over. Nigeria’s attention now turns to their World Cup qualifier in Zambia next month."4years ago My wife left me,because i was too WEAK in bed,but today she calls me Bed Champion. Now i finally discovered a Natural Solution that forces women to ask for more.
