Former Nigeria captain, Christian Chukwu has played down Super Eagles 2-0 win over Yemen in Saturday night’s friendly match in UAE, saying what’s important is the team’s rebuilding process.
“It’s good that the boys won the game at least to erase the memory of the 1-0 defeat they suffered in the hands of Ivory Coast in their earlier game in Abu Dhabi”, starts Chukwu who once handled Harambee Stars of Kenya.
“But in the real sense of it, for me, what is important is not the result but the rebuilding process the team is going through at the moment.
“They are rebuilding for tomorrow and this appears in good gear and for me it gives hope for a better Super Eagles for tomorrow.”
Chukwu stressed that rebuilding process takes a gradual process adding that he’s looking forward to a time the Super Eagles will be dominated by players from the home front.
“It will be a gradual thing, the most important thing is that the boys are being exposed to grade A matches, with time we won’t be inviting 30-35 foreign based players to the camp whenever the Super Eagles have any engagement.Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
