Confed Cup: Nasarawa Utd Walk Tight Rope After Narrow Home Win

By Adeboye Amosu:

Nasarawa United secured a slim 2-1 win against Senegalese side, Generation Foot, in the first leg of their preliminary round, CAF Confederation Cup fixture at the Abuja National Stadium on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Tayo Fabiyi opened scoring for the Solid Miners in the fifth minute, but the home side failed to build on the early lead as they spurned several goal scoring chances afterwards.
They were punished for their profilgacy as the visitors got the equaliser early in the second half.
Kabiru Dogo’s men however restored their lead in the closing stages of the game when they converted from the spot after a Generation Foot player handled the ball in the box.
The second leg comes up in a fortnight in Dakar.
