Conte: Chelsea Lost Composure Vs Burnley, Morata Needs To Adapt

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has rued his team's dismal start to the defence of their Premier League title following Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We lost our composure after this red card (to Gary Cahill) and we have to improve a lot in this aspect. This wasn't right, the way they lost their composure after the red card," Conte said during his post-match press conference.

"It can happen, but we must pay attention and try and think there is the rest of the game to do our best. I saw two faces – one positive, the second half and one negative in the first.

"We finished twice with 10 men and we must start studying a new formation with 10 players – or nine. When it happens with this regularity, you must be worried."

Conte also commented on the impact made by former Juventus and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata who scored his Premier league debut goal against the Clarets.

"Alvaro has a good space to improve himself. He is working very well, very hard to find good fitness and adapt to our style. He played a really good game in his 30 minutes, scored a goal and this is good news for us."
On taking off youngster Jeremie Boga early in the game as a result of Cahill's red card, the Italian said: "For sure in the future he could have another chance."
