Conte Pleased With Chelsea Win, Stunned By Moses’ Defensive Qualities

By James Agberebi:

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admits he is surprised by Victor Moses defensive abilities playing as a wing-back.

Since breaking into Conte’s team this season, Moses has been playing in an unfamiliar wing-back role but has been impressive.

The Super Eagles forward was in superb form against Southampton, providing the assist for Eden Hazard to open the scoring for Chelsea in their 2-0 away win at St. Mary’s on Sunday.

In his post-match press conference after the game against Southampton, Conte said: “It is a surprise how good Victor Moses is doing defensively as a wing-back. Marcos Alonso is also doing well.”

The former Juventus manager praised the overall performance of his players, stressing it was imperative that they got off to a good start.

“I’m very pleased with today’s performance because I saw a lot of positive things against a good team,” Conte added.

“It’s important to start the game very strong, especially when you know the opposition is good.” the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria
