Conte: I Told My Players To Start Strongly Vs United

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has praised his side following their 4-0 victory against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Pedro Rodriguez scored the first goal after just 30 seconds; Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante were also on target for Chelsea.

The win moves Chelsea to fifth in the Premier League table.

In his post-match comments, Conte described the win as a massive boost for his side’s title ambitions.

“I’m delighted with the performance because we played well, with good intensity and moved the ball quickly,” Conte said.

“Beating a team as good as Manchester United increases the confidence in the group and the work we are doing.

“I asked my players to start strongly and show desire to win the game.

“Today’s game was very important for our ambitions after losing against Arsenal and Liverpool.

“After conceding two or three goals in every game it was important to find a solution.”
