Nigeria’s Minister for Sports Solomon Dalung has alerted the President of the Nigerian Football Federation that the Federal Government is unhappy over the conflicting reports surrounding the final burial date of the late Stephen Keshi, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
In a chat with Pinnick after the eighth day Fidau prayers in honour of the late Shuaibu Amodu which at which Completesportsnigeria.com was present, Dalung expressed the unhappiness of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, adding that the Federal Government wants to be actively involved in the burial of the late Nigeria captain and head coach Keshi.
“The VP is not happy with several reports going on regarding the burial arrangements for Keshi,” Dalung told Pinnick who responded “I will see to that.”
“I have been reading online about several dates proposed for his funeral ceremony and we don’t know which to follow,” Dalung added.
“The Federal Government wants to be fully involved and adequately informed on when and how the late Keshi will be buried.”
Keshi died on June 8 in Benin City, Edo State, while Amodu passed on three days later.
