David de Gea’s move to Real Madrid has collapsed after claims that paperwork had failed to arrive to the Spanish governing body headquarters by the Monday midnight deadline for the transfer window in Spain.
Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea believed that he had achieved his dream move to Madrid after the Spanish club broke the deadlock on Monday afternoon when they agreed a deal worth £29million, Daily Mail reports.
Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas was also supposed to be involved as he was expected to join United in part exchange.
But the paperwork was botched with the releval documents failing to arrive at the Spanish league governing body by the midnight deadline.
There were accusations and counter-accusations on Monday night but Real Madrid reportedly decided that they will not appeal to FIFA for an extension on Tuesday.
Ahead of a press conference from club president Florentino Perez, it was reported that an appeal will not be lodged, while UEFA confirmed on Twitter that De Gea will “100% remain a Manchester United player”.Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
