The League Management Company chairman, Shehu Dikko, hopes the partnership deal between the body and Nigerian Breweries Plc will further enhance the growth of the domestic game in the country, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Nigerian Breweries, the manufacturer of Nigeria's leading Beer brand, Star Lager, on Tuesday announced a partnership with the LMC to be the first official beer partner of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Dikko who heaped plaudits on the company for their support, is looking forward to seeing more companies associate with the LMC to further boost the growth of the NPFL.
"I must commend Nigerian Breweries for this great initiative. They have done well by associating with the Nigeria Professional Football League which is the fastest growing league in the world," Dikko told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Our target is to have a league that soccer loving Nigerians can be proud of and one that will be rated among the best in the world.
"I strongly believe a partnership agreement like this will go a long way in helping us achieve our objective.
"This is a further testament to the fact that corporate companies recognise the good work we are doing and we hope others will take a queue from this.
"We will continue to do our best in ensuring that our league rank among the best in the world."
The first of its kind partnership will commence from the 2015/2016 season and end in the 2019/2020.
