–As first instalmental payment over Emem Eduok’s $400,000 transfer fee
Cash strapped Dolphins of Port Harcourt will today receive a sum of $250,000 (or N50m) from Tunisia side, Esperance, as first instalment of striker Emem Eduok’s transfer to the ‘Blood and Gold’ club, officials have exclusively informed Complete Sports.
The Tunisian giants had snapped the 20-goal Nigeria league star for a fee of $400,000 but had delayed in effecting payment as agreed upon by both parties.
This forced the Nigeria side to contemplate dragging the club to FIFA but Esperance was understood to have given firm promise of effecting payment between April 7-8, 2015.
“We’re expecting the first instalment of the transfer fee today (April 7) or tomorrow (today)”, informs Stanley Eguma, Technical Manager of Dolphins.
“The first instalment as we agreed is $250,000 (N50m) while the second instalment which is $150,000 will be paid later”, Eguma added.
Dolphins stand to earn more from the transfer of the striker who joined the Tunisian champions in January.
“There is a clause in the transfer document which stipulates that should Eduok score a certain number of goals in the season, Esperance will have to up the transfer fee.
“Of course, that means should Eduok score between 10-15 goals in the season, the amount will rise”,Eguma added.Unblock the FIFA World Cup with ExpressVPN the #1 Trusted Name in VPN
