Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, believes Watford striker Odion Ighalo needs some time out of the firing line and abreak mentally in order to refresh and regain his scoring form, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ighalo’s drought continued against Leicester City and has now scored one goal in his last ten Premier League outings since the start of the year.
"That's not the sort of form which would see to our top striker in ahead of Super Eagles match against Egypt," Dosu stated.
"But I think it's more of a mental block. He is desperate to score and he's not at the moment. I think he probably needs some time out to get it right."
The Nigerian has started every one of Watford’s league fixtures since being left on the bench on the opening day at Everton and has justified his place in the team scoring 15 goals so far this season.
Ighalo is one of the four strikers called up by interim coach Samson Siasia for the 2017 African Nations Cup qualifying games against Egypt in Kaduna and in Alexandria.Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
