The Super Eagles will play two international friendlies against Congo and Cameroon in October.
The next international break comes up next month and despite the Eagles not engaged in the first round of qualifiers to the 2018 World Cup, the Nigeria Football Federation are desirous of making the team engaged with quality friendlies.
To this end, president of the Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has confirmed that the Eagles will play against Congo on October 8 in Brusells, Belgium, and Cameroon three days later.
Furthermore Pinnick also revealed the plans to play against a north African side before the next round of 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March 2016.
“We are working on a friendly against Algeria or Tunisia before the game against Egypt,” Pinnick said in a release made available to Completesportsnigeria.com.
Nigeria are second in the 2017 AFCON qualifying Group G table behind Egypt.
