Golden Eaglets midfielder, Samuel Chukwueze, says he hopes to emulate Arjen Robben as he is proud to have scored the third fastest goal in the history of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The hard-running player opened scoring for the West Africans with just 25 seconds in their 5-1 rout of hosts Chile.
With his impressive showing in the game, the Diamond Football Academy product hopes to follow in the footsteps of Netherland's winger, Arjen Robben.
"I know I did well today, but I still have a lot of work to do to improve.
"I try to base my game on that of Arjen Robben, who can run with the ball at speed, score goals, and set them up too. I want to be an all round player like him."
As well as scoring twice against the South Americans, Chukwueze also forced three penalties with his driving runs.
The youngster said he was elated at the feat and hopes to do more for his side in the competition.
"I had no idea, but it's an honour to know my name is part of the history of a World Cup. I have never imagined anything like this. It makes me proud," he told FIFA.com.
