Echiejile Backs Eagles Against Tanzania, Condoles With Enyeama

By James Agberebi:

AS Monaco defender, Elderson Echiejile, has pledged support to the Super Eagles as they face Tanzania in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Dar Es Salaam.

Echiejile, a key member of Nigeria’s AFCON-winning squad in 2013, was not one of the 18 foreign-based players invited by coach Sunday Oliseh for the Tanzania clash.

The left-back wrote on his Twitter handle: “As we head to Dar es Salaam for the 2017 qualifier, I give my total support to the team.”

Echiejile also expressed his condolences to Eagles skipper, Vincent Enyeama, on the death of his mother.

“My condolences to my friend Vincent Enyeama and his entire family. May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss.”
