AS Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile has urged his teammates to stay strong in their quest for a second place finish in Ligue 1.
Monaco slipped to third spot after they drew 1-1 with Stade Rennes at the weekend, stretching their winless streak away from home to seven.
The 28-year-old Nigeria star who will return to the squad for their home clash this Saturday admitted that Monaco’s next three games must be played as cup finals.
They face Guingamp, Lyon and Montpellier on the final day of the season.
“We just have to believe in ourselves that we will finish second because our next three games are must-win games,” Echiejile told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We have to be strong for achieve that.”
