A late Fabinho penalty was enough for Monaco to see off ten-man Saint-Etienne 1-0 to climb to third spot on the Ligue 1 table.
Echiejile who starred for Monaco in the win admits that it was an awesome feeling to have returned to winning ways after they crashed 4-1 on match-day six of the Europa League to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
“Awesome feeling to have bounced back after the last result,” Echiejile tweeted.
Tottenham confirmed first place in Group J by beating Monaco 4-1 with Erik Lamela bagging a 35-minute hat-trick, winning the game in the first half.
“It wasn't the result we wanted in London but we have to stay positive, always. Thank you all for your support. “
Echiejile who has made 11 Ligue 1 appearances (nine starts) this season will fancy his side’s chances against Bordeaux in Wednesday’s Coupe de la Ligue round of 16 clashes.
They also face bottom club Troyes in the final league game of 2015 on Saturday.
