Aggrieved by Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris which saw 127 people killed, Super Eagles and AS Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile has sent his condolences to families and friends who lost their loved ones in the attack, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The former Braga FC left-back took to Twitter on Saturday to express his condolences to the families affected by the carnage after eight militants carried out a series of co-ordinated attacks across the French capital that has placed the country in a state of nationwide emergency.
“My condolences to families of those who lost their lives in the Paris attack. #MyHeartBleeds #PrayForParis," Echiejile wrote.
Condolences have continued to pour in from celebrity and footballers with David Beckham and Anthony Martial among sportsmen around the world who have offered their support to France in the wake of the barbaric terrorist attacks in Paris which killed at least 127 innocent people.
Former England footballer Beckham, 40, joined dozens of A-list stars in sharing a photo of the Eiffel Tower under #PrayforParis – which has seen internet users come together to show solidarity with France.
One of the attackers had a ticket to the France versus Germany game and tried to enter the 80,000 person stadium but guards discovered his suicide vest when they frisked him, it emerged today.
He detonated the vest as he backed away from security guards around 15 minutes into the match, according to Zouheir, one of the venue's security guards, and French police.
